As a STOTT PILATES® Licensed Training Center (aka, LTC) owned by a fully Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer, workshops and continuing education lectures can be taken at Basic Principles Pilates in Clarence, New York or can be hosted on-site at your location for your convenience. Whichever option you choose, you can be sure to get the same high quality instruction.

Designed for Pilates instructors, exercise entusiasts and fitness professionals, all introductory and continuing education workshops qualify for STOTT PILATES® CECs and many are eligible for credits elsewhere. Lengths vary from 90 minutes to six hours.
All exercise-based workshops incorporate the STOTT PILATES® Five Basic Principles along with cueing and correcting tips for teaching technique.
STOTT PILATES® Matwork workshops cover select exercises ranging from Rehabilitation to Advanced-level material. Many incorporate light resistance and balance equipment and show progressions to increase intensity. Some focus on specificity of exercise technique while others discuss applications and modifications for special populations or specific markets.
Equipment-based workshops focus on exercises performed on larger equipment including the
STOTT PILATES® Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair™ and Barrels. Selected exercises are covered
discussing application to all, levels and special needs. Programming for individuals and groups is emphasized.
Designed to accelerate your practical skills, lecture-style workshops help you learn the theory behind the practice of Pilates. Exam Preparation, Anatomy and Postural Analysis are just a few of the seminars we offer.

| This interactive workshop is designed to help students prepare for their STOTT PILATES® certification exams. It provides valuable information to help students score well on the exam, including an overview of exam format, the most effective and useful study methods, content that should be focused on, and what to expect during the exam. Basic principles, postural analysis and tips for cueing and correcting will also be reviewed. | ||

| Mind-body exercise like Pilates can be essential to the development in mind and body of pre-teens and teenagers. This mat-based workout incorporates Toning Balls™ and the Fitness Circle® and will provide tons of exercises that can be used to create fun and enjoyable workouts designed to keep teens engaged and challenge them both physically and mentally. In youth, overall body awareness can be beneficial, good posture promotes improved body image and proper breathing techniques help with stress reduction. These issues and more will be addressed with simple functional exercises that focus on stability, balance and flexibility in a fun, quick moving routine designed to promote active lifestyle choices. | ||

| Discover a new and intensive core training workout featuring the Stability Cushions. Controlling instability with a pair of cushioned disks requires activation of the stabilizing muscles of the torso, shoulders and hips. Exercises are designed to illicit greater proprioceptive awareness and recruit the deep support systems of the whole body while developing greater co-ordination and control. Discover a new facet to Matwork programs that increase body awareness and core stability in movements that bridge the gap between simple core training routines and functional movement patterns necessary in athletic conditioning. | ||

| Give your clients and classes something to jump about with this pumped up workout on the Reformer. Increase intensity and challenge coordination and cardiovascular fitness using more complex jumpboard intervals while ensuring safety and proper technique. Incorporate strengthening exercises for upper and lower body as well as the all-important core. Designed for intermediate to advanced level clients or groups, this plyometric workout will deliver all-over fitness while easily motivating and maintaining interest. | ||

Notes: All workshops and lectures are subject to minimum enrollment and may be cancelled if the number of participants falls below this level. If a workshop or lecture is cancelled, all registration fees will be returned. Also, times are subject to change up to two weeks prior to actual workshop or lecture.
Whether your profession relies on improving your knowledge of STOTT PILATES® or you simply want to increase your understanding for your personal benefit, Basic Principles Pilates wants to reward you for participating in as many workshops and lectures as you can fit into your schedule. Therefore, the more STOTT PILATES® workshops or lectures you take per weekend, the lower your cost per STOTT PILATES® Continuing Educational Credit (CEC).
Note: In order to qualify for reduced pricing, all workshops and lectures bundled together must be scheduled during one weekend. This discount is applied to individuals and is not applicable to groups.
